In Panagia, one of the most beautiful spots of Antiparos Island, we designed and built this gorgeous, two-storey villa, consisting of 13 rooms and hostels, a spacious living room and all modern facilities and ancillary services. The unique sea view, the large pool of 260 cubic meters and the architectural design of the residence catch the eye of a visitor from the first glance and reveal its unique character. A large professional kitchen, utilities and service rooms are located in a distinct area on a separate level, in order to secure privacy, comfort and quality of service to all residents.
The owner’s desire was to build a residence of technical excellence, which would respect the traditional architecture of the Aegean Sea, protect and preserve the local ecology and adapt smoothly to the aesthetic and natural environment of the island. Along these guidelines and taking into consideration the particular climate conditions of the area, we put an emphasis on the specifications of the electro-mechanical features and installations, as well as of the materials and techniques used to ensure the waterproof and thermal insulation of the construction. Some of the main features are mentioned below:
•Integrated alarm system throughout the building
•Fire detection and protection systems
•Class A+ electrical appliances
•Energy saving lighting system
•Inverter technology and energy saving air conditioning system in independent zones
•Alternative cooling system with ceiling fans of low power consumption
•Automatic shut-off of power supply in the absence of occupants
•Rainwater harvesting in a large underground water tank to satisfy the high irrigation needs of the surrounding green area (at least 7000 plants and trees)
The project won the prize “BEST SINGLE UNIT PROPERTY” for Europe, sponsored by the renowned organisation “INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY A WARDS”.
